Therapy for adults who struggle with overthinking and the fear of being too much

For those who function well on the outside but constantly second-guess themselves around others.

Does this sound familiar?

You appear capable and composed. People rely on you. You show up and get things done.

But internally, you replay conversations, question your decisions, and worry about disappointing others. You overprepare. You rewrite texts and emails.

You hesitate to set boundaries because you do not want to hurt anyone or create conflict. With friends, family, romantic partners, and at work, you feel pressure to say the right thing and not take up too much space.

You often wonder if you are somehow too much and not enough at the same time.

On the outside, you are functioning. On the inside, you rarely feel fully settled.

About Desiree

If what you read above resonates, you’re not alone. Many people function well on the outside while feeling unsettled internally.

My work is rooted in a person-centered approach, guided by empathy, mindfulness, and the belief that healing begins with feeling truly heard. We move at a pace that feels right for you, letting the work unfold naturally and without pressure.

I draw on evidence based practices, including mindfulness and somatic techniques as well as CBT, to offer both practical skills and deeper insight. My style is collaborative, conversational, and reflective. Some sessions might focus on coping tools, while others explore emotions, patterns, or your past. We follow what feels important that day. Mindfulness is woven throughout my work because it creates space for presence, curiosity, and self-compassion. It helps you slow down enough to notice what is happening inside, understand it more clearly, and respond with intention.

If you are seeking psychedelic preparation or integration, I offer a grounded and ethical space to explore intentions, emotions, and what matters most to you. For some individuals who struggle with chronic self-doubt or the fear of being too much, psychedelic experiences can surface insights about identity and long-standing patterns. Preparation focuses on education, clarity, and readiness. Integration is not just about understanding your experience, it is about supporting what emerged and helping you bring those parts of yourself into daily life in a meaningful way.

Above all, therapy with me is tailored to you. Your story, values, identity, and lived experience shape the work we do together.

Services

I offer online therapy for adults located in Florida, California, and Colorado through a secure telehealth platform. The services below reflect common areas clients seek support with. It is common for clients to see themselves in more than one of these descriptions.

Overthinking and People Pleasing
$140

You may appear composed and capable, yet internally replay conversations, question your reactions, or worry about disappointing others. Chronic overthinking and people pleasing can create a constant pressure to get everything right while minimizing your own needs.

In our work together, we explore the patterns that developed to protect you but may now be keeping you stuck. Therapy focuses on strengthening self trust, reducing self doubt, and helping you feel more secure expressing yourself without shrinking to maintain connection.

Relationship Anxiety and Boundaries
$140

Some individuals who struggle with chronic self-doubt or the fear of being too much are drawn to transformative experiences as a way to explore themselves more deeply. If you have had a psychedelic experience in a research setting, retreat environment, ceremonial context, or other guided experience, you may be processing what surfaced emotionally or relationally.

Integration is not simply about understanding the experience. It is about supporting what emerged. Together, we focus on stabilizing insights, tending to vulnerable parts that surfaced, strengthening self trust, and thoughtfully bringing those shifts into your daily life.

Preparation sessions are also available for individuals considering a psychedelic experience and wanting support clarifying intentions, expectations, and emotional readiness beforehand. My approach is guided by empathy, presence, and curiosity, creating a space for reflection, growth, and deepening self-understanding.

Please note: These sessions do not include the use, provision, or supervision of any psychedelic substances. I provide talk-based support only, and sessions are held while you are sober through a secure telehealth platform.

For many people, overthinking becomes most intense in relationships. You may reread texts before sending them, hesitate to set boundaries, avoid difficult conversations, or worry about being too much. These patterns can show up in romantic relationships, friendships, family dynamics, and professional settings.

This work focuses on understanding how these relational patterns formed and how to shift them without losing your empathy or kindness. The goal is not to become less caring. It is to feel more confident taking up space while maintaining meaningful connection.
